FIGO/AGOTA EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP
The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) will hold its annual Executive Board Meeting (EBM) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 24th – 26th June, 2010.This will be the first time such a meeting is conducted in Africa.
In honor of this occasion, the Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians of Tanzania (AGOTA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and FIGO, have organized AN EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP to be held on 23rd June, 2010.
Theme of the Workshop: Evidence Based Practice in Reproductive Newborn Child and Maternal Health
Sub themes:
- Challenges in the reduction of maternal and perinatal morbidities and mortalities in the low resource countries; Evidence based practices
- Challenges in women’s health and rights in the low resource countries
Venue: Kilimanjaro Kempinski
Speakers: FIGO/AGOTA experts on Reproductive Newborn Child and Maternal Health
Audience: 200 participants including representatives from 30 countries all over the world; AGOTA members; Reproductive Newborn Child and Maternal Health stakeholders from all regions of Tanzania; Representatives from sister organizations in EAC; and Representatives from Development partner organizations in Tanzania.
Registration fee for the participants is USD 100. This will cover the cost of participation including workshop education materials, tea and lunch.
