1. MDR Project:

Underway. On first phase of implementation. The President of AGOTA and UNICEF representative (Dr. R. Kigadye) and Dr. Makuwani met with Dr. Berege, the Director of Hospital Services and charted a plan to form the country MDR team. Other activities in finally starting the MDR processes will role out soon.

2. Mkuranga Outreach Program:

Member of AGOTA Dr. Ahmed Makuwani is running a simple handed EOC training in Mkuranga. He is successful reduced the number of emergency referrals to Temeke from Mkuranga hospital. The president visited the Hospital and he was impressed by the work going on at the hospital. AGOTA has chosen this as a convenient site for our Safe Motherhood initiative before we embark on distant locations.
